We believe every coaching engagement requires a tailored approach because every situation, organization, team, and individual is different. As a result, we won’t sell you a “package” or “cookie cutter” approach. Instead, we will work with you to determine and assess your coaching needs, then build a flexible strategy and approach to help support you in getting to where you want to be. We can set up a coaching support engagement for an individual, for a team, for a department or program, or even for an entire organization. We can make it as light or as focused and intensive as you need, ranging from an hour a month to a full work week engagement.

We appreciate the need for transparency, so we provide the following guidelines to start the conversation about a coaching engagement with evolutionize.

Phase 1

Deep Dive

Once a strategy is made and we are ready to execute, we typically recommend a ‘deep dive’ to help entrench the new mindset and practices. This is typically several hours multiple times per week, for four to six weeks. This focus is critical to ensure the new ways of working take root across your organization. After this initial coaching engagement, we recommend an assessment to determine if this level of support should continue or be adjusted.

PHASE 2

High Performance

Several weeks to months in we often recommend a recurring coaching engagement of several hours a week for a few months so you may focus on progressively refining the systems, critical delivery events, and work that your teams and organization perform. This planned, cadence-driven coaching experience ensures your new practices are maintained and reinforced, which is especially important during times of stress when there may be strong tendencies to revert back to previous behaviours and habits.

Phase 3

Ad-Hoc

After the first few months we recommend periodic check-ins with a coach to ensure change is retained. Just like a professional sports team, the members and leaders may know their craft well but they often need coaching, nudging, and reminders to keep them aligned to the change and new goals. Timing will vary (can be on-demand), but for this phase we recommend first a monthly and then quarterly whole-system retrospectives. The goal is to ensure improvement continues, and that unforeseen long-term external stresses don’t erode the change you've worked so hard to create.

Grow Your Own Coaching Expertise

One offering we are very proud of is our Agile Coaching Evolution Program, where we work to grow coaching expertise in select leaders within your own organization. Consider this an option if you would prefer to organically grow your own coaching capacity instead of hiring from the outside. This in-depth program consists of eighteen steps that provide your people with the foundations to becoming a good agile coach. With continued mentorship support from us, your new coaches then coach others within your organization, ensuring your capacity for learning and improvement continues to grow.
