The Scrum Better With Kanban course (which provides the Scrum Kanban Practitioner® - SKP Certification) gives you the knowledge and tools to boost your Scrum team performance, and provides the foundations to apply Kanban to improve how you work and deliver results using Scrum.
This course is a complementary overlay to your existing Scrum approach. It is founded on lessons learned from Scrum teams that have evolved their way of working by leveraging Kanban's practices and evolutionary change approach. Our hands-on, interactive training will ensure you walk away with actionable, practical techniques to improve your Scrum team's success and results.
Learn how to improve your Scrum work experience by:
- Reducing Scrum team overburdening.
- Identifying and managing the dependencies and blockers that Scrum teams face.
- Making service and delivery commitments with confidence.
- Increasing Scrum team collaboration.
- Identifying and analyzing the challenges in and around your Scrum, and design approaches to address these challenges.
- Leverage the principles and practices of the Kanban Method to develop solutions to your delivery problems.
Participants that successfully complete this course will earn the globally recognized Scrum Kanban Practitioner® (SKP) designation with Kanban University®.
Note: This course is available to be completed in two half days or one full day.

- Design and implement improvements to your Scrum team's Sprint board.
- Understand how different work types affect your Scrum team commitment and delivery.
We will also cover the core learning objectives from Kanban University®, which include:
- Learn how to identify and analyze the challenges in and around your Scrum and how to prepare solutions to address these challenges.
- Identify and develop solutions to the variability that is delaying or slowing down your work.
- Develop and test potential solutions to problems that reflect the principles and practices of the Kanban Method.
- Learn the six Kanban general practices and how to apply them to your Scrum team.
- Learn the three Kanban change management principles and how they may be applied to Scrum.
No prerequisite formal training or certification required, however prior experience leading, managing, or working on a Scrum team would be beneficial.
Prior Registered Scrum Master® (RSM), Registered Product Owner® (RPO), or equivalent accreditations are recommended (but not necessary) to give you context for this course.
